July 14, 2003 - Thomas E. Miller of The Miller Law Firm has settled a construction defect case involving 178 condominiums in the greater Seattle area for $4.7 million in less than 15 months of filling without a trial. The case settled in mediation with the help of Chris Soelling, an independent mediator selected by the parties. Once funded, the settlement dollars will go to making needed repairs of the siding, decks, roofs, plumbing, paving and drainage at the development. The names of the association and the developer, a prominent builder in the northwest, as well as the other terms of the settlement are confidential.
